The above quote was made on the successful TV series "Long Way Round" starring Ewan McGregor and his actor friend Charley Booreman when they toured around the world in their motorbikes.
"It is exciting that this band is following in the Long Way Round tyre tracks and I wish you the best of luck for the trip." Ewan McGregor
The snapshot of this unique tour is given below.
Many thanks must go to our great sponsors, Stagecoach, Fender, Orange Music, The Beatles Story Liverpool, Meinl and CPL. (see sponsors page for more details) The four month tour will be filmed for a great documentary. This film will be premiered at various cities for charity, then put out on TV, DVD etc. This tour is a unique blend of music, adventure, charity, learning and most importantly the heart of the film will be how the young men will cope travelling the world on this unique journey? They have come a long way over the 5 years all of which has been documented on film from day one, the first rehearsal, the meetings, the whole story of how they became friends and group members which will give the viewers a good solid background on the guys so they can hopefully witness the changes of what this experience will do to them on this tour. The band wants to give their music to the world but the world will give them something in return; a life changing experience and this is the true "heart" of this documentary, how will this trip change these young men as they are all different characters and individuals We will see these 4 young boys mature into men over the 4 months through their adventures and exploits. BIG IDEA.. small world………THE ROUTE:This is a massive project and has never been attempted before; five young guys from Scotland "gigging" around the World. A number of gigs will be planned in advanced but the intention is to keep the tour flexible so it can adapt quickly depending on what happens. The aim is to keep this tour as honest, un-staged and natural as possible. If the Band encounters a village or town that looks interesting they will perform there. The more spontaneous the Band are, makes for more unique and engaging viewing.
